On 6 August 2020 the government published Planning for the Future, a White Paper setting out a series of proposed reforms of the planning system.

With the combined objectives of streamlining the planning process, ensuring more new homes are built, and improving the quality of those homes the changes set out in the White Paper are fundamental.

In this piece for Housing Today our managing director, Paul Smith, explains why - even though the proposals aren't perfect - there is every reason to be optimistic that they will deliver more and better homes.
