The Strategic Land Group (SLG) has secured a new land promotion agreement for a circa 12-acre site in Woodseaves Village, Stafford.
Just seven miles outside of Stafford, the site is allocated in the latest draft of the local authority’s emerging local plan and is expected to deliver at least 88 new homes.
Ideally located close to a primary school and other amenities, the site is expected to generate strong interest from developers.
Paul Smith, Managing Director of SLG, said: “This is a fantastic site located in a popular village with the necessary infrastructure and amenities in place. It is also very well-located and we look forward to working with the owners of the site with a view to bringing it forward as an allocated development within Stafford Borough’s local plan.
“Villages like Woodseaves often feel the housing shortage particularly acutely, with young people forced to move elsewhere outside of their community, so it’s positive to be able to bring this site forward with a good number of high-quality new homes. With the government housing target now set at 1.5 million over the next five years - and Stafford's housing target roughly doubling as a result - more sites like this will need to be identified in order to provide the housing we so desperately need.”
SLG is one of the UK’s most successful land, care home and renewable energy promoters. It is currently working with a 20-site portfolio and is actively promoting sites with the potential to deliver more than 2,800 new homes and with a gross development value of circa £900million.
