We help landowners deliver renewable energy projects across the country.

We work with landowners to transform under-used sites into income generating solar farms

For 15-years, The Strategic Land Group (SLG) has consistently delivered excellent results for landowners.

Using our experience and knowledge of planning, development and renewable energy, we work with landowners to deliver solar farms in a transparent and straightforward way.

All our projects are led by our managing director, Paul Smith, who will handle everything from start to finish. You can rest assured that your project will get the attention it deserves.

A bespoke strategy will be prepared for your site and we will keep you up-to-date on progress throughout. We are always available to speak and to answer any questions you might have.

We’ll work to secure both planning permission and grid connection approvals entirely at our own cost and risk. And if for some reason we don’t succeed, it won’t cost you anything.

Once the necessary approvals are in place, we’ll carry out a careful vetting process to select an operator to build, run and maintain the solar farm– they will even remove the equipment and reinstate the land at the end of the lease.

The UK must triple its solar capacity by 2030 if we are to achieve net zero carbon by 2050.

As a carbon-free energy source, solar farms are crucial to our efforts to tackle climate change,
but they are also essential to reduce our dependence on imported energy, helping keep energy costs low.

According to government analysis, solar energy is one of the most cost-effective ways to meet our net zero carbon obligations - in order to meet the 2050 target, the UK must triple its solar capacity by 2030.

Battery storage has a crucial role to play in our transition to net zero too by smoothing out the peaks and troughs in the supply of electricity. When the amount of energy being generated is higher than demand, the batteries charge up to store that surplus. When demand outstrips the power available, the batteries release the energy back into the grid.
