Having followed and supported the PricedOut campaign for a number of years, our managing director, Paul Smith, has joined as an Advisory Board Member.
PricedOut is a national campaign for affordable house prices. Since 2006, it has sought to draw attention to the growing housing crisis in Britain and the changes that must be made to provide enough safe, affordable and high-quality homes for everyone; still a distant dream for so many.
Paul will work alongside the PricedOut Advisory Board to offer his advice and knowledge as the campaign seeks to secure the policy changes the country requires to build more homes.
As well as the Advisory Board, the campaign is also supported by four MPs as parliamentary champions: Sir Simon Clarke, Andrew Western, Brandon Lewis and Siobhan McDonagh.
Paul said, “I was delighted to be asked to join the PricedOut Advisory Board; it’s a vitally important campaign which has done fantastic work in not only keeping the housing crisis front of mind but in putting forward creative, insightful policy suggestions to drive the change we need."
“So many young people remain unable to get a foot on the housing ladder and the reality is, without a change to policy – and a commitment to actually plan for the homes we need to deliver - we will never address the chronic undersupply of new homes that lies at the root of our housing crisis. I’m very pleased to be able to offer my knowledge and expertise to support PricedOut and look forward to working with the team.”
