Despite the severity of the housing crisis, there has been surprisingly little mention of it in the general election campaign.
While each of the parties has set out some proposals in their manifestos, these have often been limited to high level pledges around particular numbers of homes. There is little detail as to how that will actually be achieved.
Yet a number of simple, straightforward changes to the planning system can help ensure we deliver the number - and quality - of homes that are required. Our managing director, Paul Smith, set our his manifesto for addressing the housing crisis in this piece for Housing Today.
